The first of a four part series from the book of James: "Book of James: Where the Rubber Meets the Road".

Today's message is about the three T's: Trials, Tests, and Temptations. What are the three T's, why do they come into your life, and what's the best way to handle them? The three T's are like potholes on the road of life, but they are potholes with purpose. When James gets done showing us what that purpose is, we may find ourselves looking for a pothole to hug.

Romans 15:5: MAY THE GOD of endurance and encouragement give you the Spirit of Unity.

The ability of you and I to endure in the times we live in flourishes in an atmosphere of encouragement - an atmosphere of encouragement comes when there is UNITY.

The salt covenant is a covenant of FRIENDS; a covenant of loyalty and support. In the Old Testament this covenant was significant in the lives of people, and remains so even today!

Encourage: to Inspire... to infuse someone with energy... to give to someone courage to go on when they want to quit. THAT'S what a "FRIEND" DOES; that's what happens when Scripture establishes the foundation of an atmosphere of FRIENDSHIP and UNITY. That's why the SALT COVENANT is so important!
